After what is anticipated to be a stimulating and potentially ground-breaking day for the community housing sector in Victoria, the CHFV Conference Dinner will provide the opportunity for a range of people connected with the community housing industry to relax and enjoy each other's company in a decidedly non-business environment.
The dinner is a chance for people connected with the community housing sector both inside and outside the industry to get to know each other better and enjoy good food and some fabulous entertainment.
With pre-dinner drinks and a delicious three course meal planned, the CHFV Conference team have also organised a tremendous line-up of talent:
Pre-Dinner Entertainment: Night and Day Jazz Trio
Night and Day (named after the famous Cole Porter standard) is a Melbourne based jazz trio featuring a delightful female vocalist accompanied with saxophone and guitar. The group's repertoire features jazz standards from the 1920s through to the 1960s including songs made famous by Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Billy Holiday and Ray Charles to name a few.
Conference Dinner MC: Colin Lane
Best known as one half of Australia's favourite comedy double act, Lano & Woodley, Colin Lane has earned the adulation of critics and audiences alike. Across twenty years, Lano & Woodley won the coveted Perrier Award for best show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, starred in their own television series and toured sold out shows across the country. Colin has continued his successful career in television, and possesses an infectious brand of humour that audiences worldwide have soaked up.
Conference Dinner Entertainment: Big City Beat
The overwhelming attribute that Big City Beat exudes is great musicianship coupled with an unbridled sense of fun on stage. They generate enthusiasm and energy but remain true to musical accuracy. Stunning costumes and sizzling choreography give the band a commanding presence on stage, and with an impressive musical repertoire Big City Beat casts an irresistible urge to party the night away!
