David Hodge

David Hodge is the Executive Director, Planning Services & Development Facilitation of the Department of Planning & Community Department overseeing the State Planning Services, in the areas of Metropolitan Planning and the Urban Development Divisions and Priority Development Panel.   A key portfolio responsibility is the approval of Nation Building housing and education projects and fast-track approvals of projects that are of State significance.

Before working with the Department he was a planning consultant.  David’s last stint in government was as the Director Property and Development at Major Projects Victoria where he was responsible for a number of landmark government projects. He has experience in major infrastructure projects such as ports, rail, public transport and major urban renewal projects and has also worked in the housing and land development sector
