Karen Janiszewski

Karen Janiszewski, is the director of Urbanxchange. She established Urbanxchange in 2008 to focus on providing commercial property advice in affordable housing.

Prior to establishing Urbanxchange Karen managed  Lend Lease's Affordable Housing business in Victoria and South Australia, including the provision of Key Worker Housing at Victoria Harbour Docklands, Carlton Housing Redevelopment Bid and Community Housing on the Delfin Communities.

Karen has 20 years of construction and development experience gained in private companies, public companies and government. She was the Project Director of Kensington Banks, has managed hotel, commercial and residential developments. Karen’s qualifications include engineering and graduate diplomas. Karen was also the first female to work full time in a professional capacity on commercial contraction sites in Adelaide. In addition Karen is a board member of Uniting Aged Care and mentor at Melbourne University. Karen is both a member and graduate of AICD.
