Hamish Macdonald has over 25 years of property experience in Australia and off shore. Hamish has spent the majority of his working life leading businesses focussed on the development and construction of commercial and residential real estate.
For the early part of his career Hamish worked with Civil & Civic in Victoria, Singapore and Queensland. Over this period Hamish was responsible for numerous significant commercial projects and the overall successful operation of the businesses he led.
From Civil and Civic Hamish moved to Becton, a then privately held Melbourne based property development company. In Hamish’s 15 years with Becton the company transformed into a diversified property group listed on the ASX. In recent years Hamish has been intimately involved in the development of two major social housing urban renewal projects; Kensington in Victoria and Bonnyrigg in NSW. Hamish was the CEO of Becton Property Group until August 2008.
Hamish is today the Director, Development and Construction for the Victorian housing component of the Nation Building Economic Stimulus Plan. This task involves the expenditure of $1.2 billion on approximately 4,500 dwellings in Victoria over an accelerated timeframe.
Hamish holds a Bachelor of Building (Hons) from Melbourne University. |
