Michelle MacDonald

Michelle MacDonald is the Social Planning Co-ordinator at Wyndham City Council, the fastest growing municipality in Victoria. She is leading the development of a Housing Diversity Policy for the City of Wyndham, in partnership with Town Planning and Strategic Planning. This policy is intended to bring a whole-of-council approach to housing affordability and social housing provision in Wyndham. Michelle is a former Mayor of the City of Maribyrnong where she led advocacy on housing affordability in the inner west. Michelle initiated and chaired the Maribyrnong Housing Affordability Roundtable made up of housing services, developers and community organisations that led to the development of Maribyrnong’s  REAL Housing Affordability Strategy (Responsible – Equitable – Affordable – Living) 2008-10.
