In 1988 Rob commenced his service in local government when he was appointed at Director Finance with the then City of Doncaster and Templestowe.
He moved to Moreland Council in 1995, and then in 1999 he took up the position of Director Corporate Services with Moonee valley Council. From 2002 to 2005 he was the National Business Manager for the Australian Red Cross Transplantation Services. Greatest job every … every day the organ, blood, and bone marrow transplants change some-one’s life.
In late 2005 he returned to local government and is currently the Chief Financial Officer for the City of Manningham.
Rob is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants, been awarded their Public Sector Accountant of the Year, and has worked on the Australian Accounting Standards Advisory Panel.
He is a past President of the local government Finance Professionals group and has represented the sector on many MAV and LGMA working parties.
Rob has worked on Manningham’s affordable housing projects and has a keen interest in this topic.
Rob resides in Montmorency with his wife Carolyn and 2 of their 4 adult children.
