Sustainability Resource Kits

Over recent months, CHFV has put together resource kits to aid both CHO tenants and managers in moving toward sustainability. While there are many resources available online, many are not totally relevant to community housing, so the aim of this kit is to fill this gap. The tenants kit provides advice about:

• Cutting energy and water bills
• Eligibility for rebates that could help make sustainable options more affordable
• Managing household waste
• Heating and cooling tips
• and more...

The managers kit also provides information regarding:

• Getting started with sustainability
• Choosing design aspects for new buildings
• How to prioritise sustainability works
• Reputable energy auditors and contractors
• Funding sources and rebates
• Free native plants for gardens
